 Head Coach: Marc Rardin
As Marc Rardin begins his seventh season as head baseball coach at Iowa Western, it is with glowing credentials compiled during these 6 years and built upon a long career in baseball.
Over the past 6 seasons, he has guided his Reiver squads to 262 wins and only 80 losses; an amazing .766 winning percentage. In that same 6 year period, the Reivers have also accumulated a 94-14 conference mark with a record setting .870 conference winning percentage. Coach Rardins teams have averaged over 43 wins per season in his 6 years at Iowa Western.

Before coming to Iowa Western, Coach Rardin had the privilege of working under some respected coaches at there highly touted programs. In the fall of 2003 Rardin worked under Scott Crampton at Lamar Community College in Lamar, CO.
From the 2000 to 2002 seasons coach Rardin was top assistant and recruiting coordinator for Sky Smeltzer at Yavapai Community College in Prescott, AZ. Coach Rardin came to Yavapai from Big 12 baseball power Baylor University. Rardin was at Baylor for 2 years as the volunteer coach and worked with the pitchers on a daily basis. While at Baylor, Coach Rardin worked under Head Coach Steve Smith. Coach Rardin started his coaching career in Bluefield, Virginia at Bluefield College. While at Bluefield, Rardin was recruiting coordinator and pitching coach.
Coach Rardin also has five summer seasons of coaching experience in the Jayhawk and Northwoods League wooden-bat summer collegiate leagues.
Coach Rardin started his college career at Indian Hills Community College in Centerville, IA. After IHCC, Rardin transferred to Iowa Wesleyan in Mt. Pleasant, IA.
Marc Rardin grew up just outside of Lamont, Iowa which is located in the northeast part of the state. He graduated from Starmont High School where he enjoyed a successful athletic career, lettering 14 times in 4 different sports during his four school years. Rardin resides in Council Bluffs with his wife Dawn, and his two sons Tyler (6), and Griffin (1).

 Assistant Coach: Rob Allison
Rob Allison begins his third season with the Reiver baseball program. In his 2 years; the Reivers have finished 1st in the regular season, won two Region XI Championships, won 2 Northern District titles, and earned berth's to the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, CO. in 2007 and 2008. In 2008 the Reivers dominated offensively throughout the season. Allison's 2008 group decimated the Iowa Western record books by breaking or tieing 32 offensive records over the year. Reiver position players finished 4th in the country in overall hitting with a team batting average of .381; and led the country in total hits by a margin of 65. Also 7 position players from 2008 signed letters of intent to Division I universities. In 2007, Allisons first season working with the Reivers position players, the squad finished 4th in the country in hitting with a team batting average of .372. Collectively, the Reivers had 3 hitters who finished the season with averages over .400. Coach Allison also worked with the Rawlings Gold Glove recipient, the Rawlings Big Stick Award winner, and the NJCAA National Player of the Year. Allison also had 3 players who finished in the Top 5 in the country in homeruns. 3 Reivers were also selected as All-Americans last season. The Reivers made an onslaught on the programs record books by eclipsing the previous record of team homeruns from 70 to 91. The 2007 squad also broke the programs hit by pitch record increasing it from 94 in 2002 to 134 last season. The offense also narrowly missed setting marks in team batting average, slugging %, total at bats, R.B.I.s, runs, hits, and doubles. Also the Reivers starting centerfielder, Tyson Gillies, signed a professional contract with the Seattle Mariners.
Allison was at Muscatine Community College in Muscatine, IA for seven years before coming to Iowa Western. Allison was an assistant for one year before taking over the reins for the last six. During that time, the Indians had winning seasons in six of the seven years. While overseeing all areas of the program; Coach Allison had countless players earn All Region, All District, and All-American accolades. A highlight in his tenure was having over a dozen players selected in the Major League Draft; with many still participating in various levels of professional baseball. His 2002 squad garnered their best season, finishing second in the conference with an overall record of 31-16, and having 4 players drafted into professional baseball.
Allison assumes the role of recruiting coordinator and field maintenance supervisor for the Reivers. He will also direct the player development of the Reivers offensively and defensively. Also with assistant Chad Ogden, Allison will coordinate, organize, and instruct Reiver baseball camps and clinics held throughout the year.
Rob's playing career began at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa before transferring to Westmar University where he earned All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American honors as the Eagles catcher. He received a Bachelors degree from Westmar University- majoring in Physical Education and minoring in Business Administration. Rob resides in the metro area with his wife Amber and their son Chaz.

 Assistant Coach: Chad Ogden
Chad Ogden begins his first year with the Reiver baseball program. Ogden will assume the head role over the JV program at Iowa Western along with being the infield coach.
Prior to being signed by the Texas Rangers in 2007, Ogden spent two years at Creighton University. While at Creighton Ogden lead the Bluejays to their first Missouri Valley Tournament title and was named 1st Team Missouri Valley Conference along with 1st Team All Region.
Ogden got his college career started with two years at Cowley County Community College where his team went 89-31 in two years. Ogden was named Region VI Defensive Player of the Year and was 1st Team All-Jayhawk Conference both years.
