The Reivers got off to a good start to the regular season with a 2-0 victory over Laramie County.  Iowa Western took the lead seconds after 1st half sub Klees Loembet entered the game.  Mark Davis sent a penetrating through ball to Klees who then beat the keeper with a crafty flick.  The second goal came in the second half off of a redirected Mauricio Chaves' shot from 18 yards out.  Adam Morris used his goal scoring prowless to flick the ball into the back of the net. The Reiver's defense recorded their first shutout of the season.  Captain goalkeeper, Ethan Bartels, proved to be a giant in frame. He is on track to become the Reiver's all-time shutout leader.
