At Iowa Westerns annual Microtel Classic basketball tournament on December 10th. their game against number 10 ranked team Kansas City Kansas Community College was cancelled due to a city wide power outage.

Reivers then took the road to play number 4 ranked team Highland that ended in a loss of 109-72. The Reivers fought hard but dug themselves into a deep hole in the first quarter. 4 days later they were all set to play Little Priest Tribal College on December 17th; the game was cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Reivers plan to come back with a vengeance after break with their first match-up against Iowa Central on January 2nd. Next they get a second chance at #4 Highland on January 4th.
